Closing Spaces & Teeth Whitening
Melissa’s treatment goals involved closing the spaces between her teeth, using porcelain veneers to replacing missing tooth structure, and whitening her teeth for a picture perfect smile. An advantage to Melissa’s treatment is that her natural tooth structure did not need to be ground down at all. The spaces in her front teeth were closed with porcelain veneers that are very thin. Porcelain veneers (similar to Lumineers) are also a permanent and chemical free approach to whiten teeth.
Bad Veneers
The patient was concerned about having fake-looking veneers that can be too thick, bulky and too squared. Dr. Sam Muslin, DDS, MAGD, solves this problem by personally working with the ceramist on every porcelain veneer and crown. Porcelain veneers look too white when the ceramist uses too much opacity. Dr. Muslin makes sure that his veneers are more translucent and natural in appearance.
