There are differences in the quality and the durability of the non-invasive porcelain veneers. The goal is to match the patient with the type of porcelain that would be the best choice for the patient’s particular needs. It is a very big mistake to shop for a brand.
As an example, Empress porcelain is great but it does require more tooth grinding. The new E-Max porcelain is also a pressed porcelain but can be done without nearly as much tooth grinding. However, E-Max may not be the best cosmetic choice as it can be too opaque. Dr. Muslin uses the best porcelains available and matches the patient to the particular porcelain based on his many years of experience using almost all of them.
