Surgical Face Lift vs. Dental Face Lift

Surgical face lifts can have unpredictable results. Alice from Marina del Rey chose Face Lift Dentistry

Surgical Face Lift vs. Dental Face Lift - Marina del Rey

A surgical face lift could raise her eye brows, pull the soft tissue of her face back, or perhaps try to shorten her upper lip. Restyline injections, or Botox could be used, but they have to be repeated over and over.  None of these, however, can help this patient show her upper teeth.  Her grandchildren ask her if she even has upper teeth.

It’s a well known fact that surgical face lifts can have unpredictable results; we have all seen movie stars that ruined their faces with a surgical lift as well as people that benefited by a surgical face lift. The Dental Face Lift requires no surgery and her face looks totally natural after treatment; additionally, her health has benefited from the Dental Face Lift. A surgical face lift, which is generally purely cosmetic, does not provide these benefits. (see Below)

Bite Reconstruction

The Dental Face Lift treats the patient's bite.  This patient had her entire bite reconstructed, which means all of the old dentistry is removed and all new dental restorations are made.  In this case, the patient had her occlusion completely rebuilt to fit her face. All of her teeth were made longer to lengthen her face and the occlusal plane was changed so her upper teeth now show just like they did as a teenager!  Her entire face was revitalized by the predictable and natural-looking Dental Face Lift.  Her new teeth support her upper lip, which is now firmer and fuller in appearance (permanently and without Restyline lip injections).

Porcelain Bridges and Porcelain Crowns

The patient had some missing teeth that were replaced with a porcelain bridge that stays in her mouth all of the time.  It is not removable, it looks and feels just like natural teeth.  She doesn't even realize that teeth are missing.  All of her other teeth had the old, unhealthy porcelain crowns removed and replaced with new porcelain crowns.  All of the porcelain crowns were replaced easily in just two weeks.  It is worth the drive from Marina Del Rey.

Dental Implants & Gum Disease

Most patients that have lost teeth are likely have gum disease.  The gum disease is treated along with dental implants, porcelain bridges and porcelain crowns.  The treatment for gum disease and dental implants, along with a complete reconstruction of the bite, is organized, planned and generally completed without the patient missing work or having much pain after treatment.  We realize that this may be hard to believe but technology in dentistry has gotten a lot better.
